So today I went to the city with one of my best friends
I HAD SUCH AN AMAZING TIME. I always love going to the city.
We hopped on the subway from midtown to go down to Soho. We shopped in all these expensive stores that we can't really afford anything in. Although I did manage to get a really cute cardigan at Madewell that was originally $89 for $27!! That's called smart shopping. I happen to be wearing said cardigan right now.
Then we walked to the Brooklyn bridge and about half way across, and then around the financial district. Rode the subway back into Grand Central where I met up with my sister (her office building is right out of Grand Central) and then we walked around Times Square where we shopped in Forever 21 where we could actually buy things. Then we hopped on another subway to get to Columbus Circle where we got lunch at my favorite restaurant, LANDMARC. So amazing. Had an amazing chicken sandwich from there.
We then walked into a J Crew and admired all the expensive clothes and cried about how poor we were in comparison the peole who could actually buy those things. We then walked out of the main building in Columbus Circle into Central Park and explored for maybe only 15 minutes before hopping back onto a subway to make it back to Times Square to get my friends mom and her co-worker Starbucks back at the recording studio.
THEN WE HAD TO BOOK AT BACK TO GRAND CENTRAL TO MAKE THE 4:14 TRAIN BACK TO BEACON. We literally sprinted on and off for like 15 minutes to make it about 16 blocks back to Grand Central to make the train. It was SOOOO stressful because I thought we were going to miss it. But by divine intervention we made it.
So on the train we rewarded ourselves with mini cupcakes I had bought from "Baked by Melissa" which is this really good chain bakery that sells bite sized cupcakes.
Day off from school well spent!
